If what they see before them is a dud, no matter how good your qualifications are, you won't get the job. ...

When I was trying to move from a uniformed private security job into “undercover” work and eventually to becoming a private investigator, I kept applying for jobs where I would submit a cover letter and a resume, and on the cover letter I kept applying for plain clothes security. That was the term I used, “plain clothes security.” I sent out quite a few resumés to big companies looking for this “plain clothes” work. I even remember contacting a mall and asking, "Do you have security guys that wear plain clothes around the mall?" Of course, they said, "No.” I had no idea the name of the job I was looking for! No idea what the job title was! What I was looking for and didn't know was a “loss prevention” position or “asset protection.” In the old days you might call them store detectives. That's the most common kind of security person who's wearing plain clothes, just dressed like everybody else, undercover if you will. I had a pretty good resumé even at that time but I had the wrong terminology. I didn't know the phrase to use and it gave me away as an outsider! I wasn't getting contacted by anybody for a job because the first thing they'd say is, "I don't know who this guy is, but he is an outsider. He doesn't know what he's talking about. He doesn't even the job title that he is applying for." I was wasting my resumes. I might as well have been throwing them in the rash rather than sending them out! I want you to avoid that mistake! By watching these videos you are miles ahead of where I was. You're learning the industry. You're learning the terminology. Here's my key for you. Learn the terminology. Learn the industry as best as you can so when you do apply for positions that are available, even a private investigator internship (if you can find one), you appear like a reasonable, educated, knowledgeable person. Committed to you success, Larry Kaye, P.I. P.S. - Don't miss my special report titled... If You Want To Be a Private Investigator Give Up... Unless You Do These Three Things. Click here : http://FWD2.WS/oral-board-questions Ace the police oral board interview. Candidates who don't prepare for the police oral board interview have a slim chance of getting hired. Why? Because other candidates are preparing for the interview and interviewing better. The police oral board notices them, not the one who didn't prepare. That sucks, doesn't it? The candidate who interviews best gets hired, not the one with the best qualifications. Well, that's how government hiring works. The police oral board have to justify to themselves and to the department who they select to hire. So they want to see, hear, feel and touch you (in a way) during the interview process. If what they see before them is a dud, no matter how good your qualifications are, you won't get the job. Rather than fighting the system work with it. This means spending time weeks, even months before the interview, to organize yourself and prepare. By this I don't mean hoodwinking the board, no far from it. You have gems inside you, like how you pulled over to help when you saw a girl being rough handled by a guy. The board wants to hear those kinds of things, but if your too nervous on the day to recall it, you've hurt your chances. By preparing you get to show the real you to the board. This will help you prepare : http://FWD2.WS/oral-board-questions

From sniffing armpits to $ex toy testing, people get paid to do some pretty crazy things. So just in case you were looking for a change of profession here are 10 weirdest jobs that pay shockingly well. #10. Armpit Sniffer This job requires the staff to sniff people’s armpits! Yes, this is just to make sure the deodorant will work when it hits the market. Armpit sniffers work for deodorant companies. They may spend their days in a hot room sniffing up to 60 armpits an hour to determine the effectiveness of deodorant in controlling sweaty smells. The work requires both a good sense of smell and a willingness to smell someone else's sweaty body. Sniffer can earn from $19,000 to $52,000 a year. #9. Halitosis Judge A halitosis judge uses her nose to determine the extent of an individual's bad breath, such as detecting the sulfides that develop in a patient's breath if there's decay or other dental problems involving the teeth or gums. Mouthwash companies employ odor judges to evaluate the effectiveness of different mouthwash formulas. Gas chromatography tests are more accurate but also more expensive. The salary in this field ranges from $19,000 to $52,000 a year, varying with experience and seniority. #8. Paper Towel Sniffer Paper towel companies want their towels to be odorless. That means not only manufacturing them to be scent-free but also ensuring that they don't develop scents as a reaction to the mess that's being wiped up. The human nose can determine if there are any smells coming from the towel before, during or after its use. Job opportunities are limited, and salary ranges from $19,000 to $52,000 a year. #7. Pet Food Tester Some people have said that they’ve eaten dog biscuits without knowing and enjoyed it. Although you might feel disgusted, some people do this as their job. Pet food tasters make an average of $40,000 tasting pet food and checking to see if it, well, tastes good. But that’s not all, they check the nutritional facts and see if it is indeed healthy for your pets. And just so you know, pet food tasters usually spit the food out after tasting.
